Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 4:14-16 NKJV
In Yesterday’s post “Avoiding Rest” I talked about our avoidance of God being the reason we are lacking peace and rest. Well last night at intercessory prayer I was reminded of why this was so true. As we entered into God’s throne room of grace we could only express gratitude to God for His presence, peace, and joy while we gloried in Him. The weights of the world lifted as we laid them on the altar, the distractions that attempted to keep us from making it to the sanctuary were overpowered by His presence and voice, and the temptations/trials began to look like a giant that would be easily overthrown. We were able to freely intercede for our homes, church, city, country, and world. It’s a pretty perfect place to be in!
The Bible says that we can enter into God’s throne room of grace in time of need. Since there is no limit to this “whenever” I would advise anyone, especially if this is a rough season, to seek Him as often as needed to stay in a good space. No matter what you are going through internally or externally come to Him! There is liberty there!
God bless you on your walk!
