Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
Matthew 6:30 NKJV
Two weeks ago I started teaching a series in our Bible study entitled, "What is the kingdom of God?" The focus during the last couple of weeks has been on decreasing worry because quite frankly we all have or are experiencing a level of worry and we don't want it to hinder our walk with God.
I want to share one of the points with you from Matthew 6:30 and it was: Let your faith work for you.
When we see “oh ye of little faith” it seems like chastisement, which it may very well be. Like Jesus saying, “come on child you know I got you with every necessity what are you tripping on?!” But we can also look at it as letting the faith you do have work for you. God won't reject your little faith! The Scripture tells us that with faith the size of a mustard seed we can move mountains (Matthew 17:20). Little faith can make a huge difference. So be encouraged that we ALL begin with a smaller dosage of faith in different areas of our lives and it's our trials and daily run-ins with Jesus that increase that faith.
So with that said, your little faith will need to increase at some point. The greater your faith the less care and anxiety you will have. The Bible states that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). Do you want your worry to decrease and faith to increase? Put yourself in position to hear, read, and speak this word. Get it in your heart so that when you face trials of many kinds mountain moving won't be an issue!
Love you all
