Let’s look at two black and white possibilities
1) The sea lions were good
2) The sea lions were bad
Excerpt from It’s a Dolphin By the time people noticed and ran down to snap video/pictures the dolphins weren’t showing themselves anymore. But sea lions came and made a visit and were willing to do all kind of tricks. No offense to sea lions but honestly, they were not as exciting as dolphins and the people made that apparent by how disappointed they were walking away. Very shortly after people were back in their own worlds tanning and iPhone photo shoots resumed, and some left the area all together. Only a few people continued to watch the water with expectation of the dolphins return. As we continued to watch the sea lions play and float into the distance here come the dolphins once again with such beauty and synchronized precision.
When the dolphins disappeared, the sea lions showed up. They were doing what the dolphins wouldn’t, they were
present and worked hard to fill in the void. It made me think of all the people that work so hard behind the scenes and get no praise or recognition. Or those that work to run things while the boss is out of the office and how they are treated with disrespect. I want to encourage you to continue doing what you are doing. If no one appreciates you know that God does. You will get your reward if you faint not!
And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
Some people gave up feeling cheated, as if the sea lions were frauds and others were cool with just seeing them and didn’t need to see anything else. Although both groups had different attitudes they had one thing in common, they walked away and missed the main attraction.
1) Do not let fraudulent people turn you off of your expected end. Some people suck all the desire out of even wanting to keep trying (jobs, relationships, church memberships etc). Don’t let them!
2) If you have been expecting something great, don’t let “teaser” blessings make you get so comfortable you stop before you get to the grand finale. Don’t rest until you get everything God promised you!
