If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. Mark 3:24-25
Why does the enemy keep us fighting? I’ll give you two reasons:
1) We will fall apart
2) Others won’t see Jesus
A house divided cannot stand. If we continue to fight with each other we will continue to tear ourselves down as an entity. When a house is divided in any type of way, no one trusts the others, love diminishes, and our power to flow in the power of godly love becomes non-existent.
Right now we have family members against family members, congregations against their Pastors, the church against the world, and the church against itself.
The enemy keeps us fighting because if we remain united as a body, in God, resting in His love and the wisdom of the directives He gives us, then the world would believe Jesus was sent in love for them. The world would begin to see that His love for us is like the Father’s love for Him, pure and undeniable and they couldn’t help but to be attracted to Him and the grace that He brings. (Please see John 17:22-23 below). Satan wants no parts in that.
Anything Satan can do to prevent this he will. He’ll use text messages, social media, petty interactions, and whatever
else we allow him to have access to. So today I encourage you to do your part so that others can trust and come to believe in the God that you love and serve. Put aside your emotions and whomever you are mad at and tap into the oneness of the Trinity (the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). Reunify with your brothers and sisters in Christ in love and let it flow out that we might fulfill our true purpose—bringing others into the knowledge of our Savior! Reunification within the body of Christ will breed a true revival of pure evangelism.
Prayer: Lord, please forgive me for the petty moments and allowing my emotions to lead me as I negatively represent you and your love for all. Teach me how to love even when I’m angry. Give me wisdom on how to handle those who’ve spitefully used and hurt me. Show me how to properly respond to things and people that I disagree with and clear my path of the clutter that will only distract me from unifying in love with my siblings in Christ and bringing souls to your kingdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
John 17: 22-23
And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
